A deputy arrested a female, placed her in handcuffs
and put her in the back of his patrol car. As the deputy
returned to the vehicle to arrest a male, who resisted and struggled
with the deputy; the woman slipped out of her handcuffs and got out
of the patrol car. The woman then attacked the deputy too.
He was able to go ahead and arrest both subjects.

Lakeland Police
A man finally
surrendered after a long standoff with police. In May, he
was handcuffed and placed into the backseat of a patrol car but escaped
when the officer stepped walked away from the police car for report
information and when he returned to the police car, the window was
rolled down and the prisoner was gone. Police arrested the subject
after he surrendered and was being transported in the back seat of a
police car. While being taken to the police station, the subject
tried to escape again. He was able to break the plastic FlexiCuffs on
his wrists, undid the restraints on his legs and escaped out an open
police car window. The subject was detained almost instantaneously and
will be charged with attempting to escape, again.

man pulled out a concealed gun and demanded the trooper release him.
The trooper stopped the police car and once outside the police car the

Sheriff's Office patrol car that had a wire partition. The man
continued to be combative by kicking the patrol car door into a trooper,
trying to break the car windows and attempting to breach the wire
partition to get into the front seat. Plastic flex cuffs were then
placed on his legs for restraints.

upset. As three officers attempted to gain control of the woman,
she kicked and spit on all the officers then told the officers she has

involved in a hit and run crash. The man was placed handcuffed,

While investigating the crash, the arrested man escaped
from the police car and fled on foot. After officers discovered
the escape, they conducted an hour-long search before calling it off.
About 5 hours later the escaped man started banging on a door of a
residence and they called police. Officers chased the man on foot
and when caught, the man fought the officers. During the fight, the
escaped man got an officers taser and began zapping officers and
deputies, even shocking a county K9 dog. An officer used a baton
and struck the man a few times before the man was arrested again.

restraint. As the sally port doors were closing, the deputy pushed
a button which opened the van doors. The prisoner ran from the van
and rolled under the sally port doors before they closed.

managed to get the handcuffs in front of his body, escape cage and get

the police car leading a number of officers with many departments on a
high speed chase. Spikes were used to flatten a tire on the stolen
police car, but the chase continued. The chase ended when the man
finally lost control of the stolen police car in a parking lot. He
was arrested again.
