    An officer arrested a man for domestic violence.  He was placed in the back seat of a patrol car for transit to police headquarters when the man kicked out one of the rear passenger windows and did extensive damage to the interior of the patrol car.  The officer removed the man who continued to resist arrest and injured the officer.

    Deputies stopped a vehicle and arrested a subject who was found to possess cocaine.  The subject was handcuffed and placed in the back seat of a patrol car and the bag of cocaine was placed on the patrol car’s hood while deputies searched the vehicle for additional drugs.  After a few minutes, the deputy heard a noise and saw the man running down the road with the bag of cocaine in his teeth.  The subject refused to stop, and a police dog was turned loose which caught and bit the subject on the leg.

    During a traffic stop, deputies noticed the subject was nervous and while checking his identification, the subject fled from the traffic stop and into a wooded area on foot.  Two deputies and a K-9 dog chased the subject.  The subject shot and killed one deputy and the K-9, the other deputy was wounded.  A massive manhunt was launched and the subject was found.  He was shot and killed later by SWAT.

    Police arrested a man for domestic battery.  The man was handcuffed behind his back and transported to a police station in a locked and secure police squadrol.  During transport, the man was able to escape through the emergency hatch and was not discovered missing until officers arrived at the police station.  This is the 3rd reported escape this year by that method.

    A police officer detained two men on suspicion of public intoxication.  The two men were placed in the back of the patrol car, but not handcuffed.  While the officer spoke to witnesses, one of the men climbed into the front seat of the car and started driving off.  The officer tried to stop the man, but he accelerated which caused the officer to be thrown to the ground and injured.  The man crashed the patrol car into a ditch and both men fled on foot, only to be captured shortly after.

    Officers stopped and checked on a vehicle beside the road without a license plate.  As the officers approached the vehicle, man got out of the car holding a cell phone and said he was calling his lawyer.  While one officer was checking the vehicle identification number, the motorist, talking on his cell phone, approached the other officer. The man then pushed the officer that was standing next to the police car and jumped in the driver seat of the police car.  The man sped away and officer later found the police car abandoned.

    Police arrested a man for outstanding warrants.  The man was handcuffed behind his back and placed seatbelted in the front passenger seat of the police car because a police dog occupied the back seat.  The officer was conferring with another officer on the scene when the man was able to move his hands under his legs, get his arms around in front, and steal the police car.  Officers chased the stolen police car and the man abandoned the stolen police car and captured after he attempted to flee and hide.
